Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Jetta we're taking a look at the Rhino Rack Roofmounted Cargo Basket. That part number is RMCB. This is 47 inches long by 35 inches wide and has a weight capacity of 165 pounds. You do want to check your vehicles owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that much weight, but as far as the basket it can withstand 165 pounds. We already have three of our four clamps secured down. We've got part of our back secured down, we're going to show you how to secure the rest of it. We'll move around to the backhand side. more

Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon XT roof-mounted cargo basket. This is 49 by 40 by 6 inches, has a weight capacity of 150 pounds and the part number for that is TH859XT. Now, keep in mind, with that weight capacity, you do want to check your vehicle's owners manual to make sure that the vehicle can withstand that much weight. We already have three of our four mounts down in place. We've got both of our front ones and our back passenger's side. We're going to show you our driver's side now. We've gone ahead and adjusted each of our plates here, or our brackets. more

Thule  Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Volkswagen Touareg

Today on our 2012 Volkswagen Touareg we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule rooftop mounted cargo basket. This cargo basket is going to measure 49 inches long by 40 inches wide, and at it's highest point at the top of this curve here, it's going to have a depth of about 6 inches. Now, it's going to have a sturdy steel construction as well, it's going to have 150 pound weight capacity. You can see that we already have it up here with 3 of the feet installed, but we're going to show you how to install the final one. The first thing you're going to need to do, is before you get started make sure that you have your adjustments for your crossbar spread. Measure from one point on one, to the one point on the other one, and get your crossbar spread whatever measurement that may be, in this case we are at 30 inches. This can be adjusted and permanently set, so that way when you're pulling it on and off your vehicle you can set it up quickly and easily and easily take it off in a matter of minutes. We'll go and place this other foot on. more

Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're test-fitting the SportRack Vista roof-mounted cargo basket. Part number for that is SR9035. It's dimensions are 44 inches by 39-1/8 inches, and it has the capacity to hold up to 110 pounds. Now, you do want to check your owner's manual and make sure that your vehicle can hold that much weight on its roof. We do have three of our four feet connected and down. Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2012 Volkswagen Jetta

Today with our 2012 Volkswagen Jetta were going to be test fitting the Yakima Load Warrior Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. We already have our basket put together and now were ready to fit it up on top of our vehicle. First well take the basket and lay it up on top of our crossbars. Then well position it and make sure its even from left to right. Once weve done that we can we swing our hardware around and use the included T bolt and wing nut to tighten the clamps to our crossbars. With the clams tight, were ready to load our basket and hit the road. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

Alright, today, on this 2011 Volkswagen Jetta were going to do a test fit of part #: y07070 from Yakima, the Load Warrior roof cargo basket. Okay, now our Jetta has already been equipped with a roof rack system with elliptical bars and as for a reference point our centers of the bars are going to be 27 and 9/16. Okay, were going to start off our test fit with the basket already assembled. We just got to place it on the roof rack, get it centered the way we wand and then we can go ahead and install the hardware. Once we get it roughly into position, well go ahead and loosely install the hardware and then make some final adjustments. And thats what it takes to install the basket on a roof rack. more
